Vikram Readymix Concrete Co. is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with 7–8 years of experience in civil and industrial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, cost control, and timely availability of materials as per project requirements.
📝 Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement for civil & industrial projects
Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors & suppliers
Negotiate rates, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules
Ensure timely purchase of construction materials, machinery, and consumables
Coordinate with project, site, stores, and accounts teams
Monitor material quality as per specifications and approved samples
Maintain purchase orders, GRNs, bills, and documentation
Control procurement costs and ensure budget compliance
Track inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies
🎓 Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
MBA / PG Diploma in Materials or Supply Chain (preferred but not mandatory)
💼 Experience Required
7–8 years of relevant experience
Mandatory experience in civil & industrial construction projects
Experience in RMC / infrastructure / industrial plants will be an advantage
💼 Skills Required
Strong knowledge of construction materials & vendors
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Cost analysis & budgeting knowledge
Good coordination & communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Excel, purchase tracking
